Whenever my PC tries to download new WUs I get this:

Running under Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. BOINC version 7.2.28(X86), wxWidgets 2.8.10.

Rosetta runs fine on my other PC using Windows XP.

Perhaps a firewall is blocking the downloads? Do you know what you have for antivirus and firewall setup?

I have the same problem on one of the computers, oddly the most suited for Rosetta. I have read a lot of the threads with problems and I tried most of the solution suggested.

Since I'm also running GPUGRID I tried removing the project but after 24h still no download so I went back. I also updated to the latest drivers. I know it's not the network firewall because another computer on the network gets WU just fine.

It's odd that after I reset the project, it first gets in the transfer queue the exe and then, about a day later, it gets a list of working units to be downloaded so it has access to at least some part of the Rosetta servers. However not a single byte gets downloaded.

Are there any specific ports that need to be opened specifically for Rosetta?

Is it because I had a long absence on this machine (many months) that I don't get any work?

BOINC applications like Rosetta typically only rely on port 80 to communicate with the application servers. This is the same port used for basic internet in a browser.

Sometimes an antivirus program selects specific types of files that it is concerned about, and perhaps is trying to quarantine them.
