Can someone help me with this problem?
I can't seem to find the answer to solving this problem.
I see in BOINC forum something about permissions, but there is not enough info to really understand what i need to do.

edit: I have uninstalled boinc and reinstalled it. no difference.
I also forgot to add:[error] Signature verification error for minirosetta_2.14_windows_intelx86.exe

Generally that signature error would be an indication that some of the file was corrupted during transfer. What about the error in your subject line?

You might try downloading the file directly in your browser and saving it to your Rosetta folder under the BOINC projects folder. Here is the URL directly to that file:

Could this be caused by an antivirus or firewall issue?

Check your recent history in AV and FW so.ftware

It's that comodo firewall issue I read about somewhere in Boinc forum.
Have to go hunt for another firewall now.

Any ideas on what works with Boinc and Rosie?

Check your recent history in AV and FW software

It's that Comodo firewall issue I read about somewhere in Boinc forum.
Have to go hunt for another firewall now.

Any ideas on what works with Boinc and Rosie?

I run Norton 360 here with no problems, but I've set up Comodo on other machines too. It's very good - you just need to ensure Boinc is allowed through.

Sygate is now owned by Symantec and hasn't been updated for over a year according to Matousec, so I wouldn't rely on that at all.

They report Comodo Internet Security the best of the firewalls (free or commercial) here, but it isn't shown among the software tested at AV-Comparatives so I can't say what the AV is like.

I had comodo isntalled and boinc allowed. but for some strange reason when it came to letting rosetta 2.14 to be downloaded even though it was already installed it would not do it. I tried everything I knew to try and make it work but it didn't. I suppose I could reinstall it, maybe it had a hiccup.
It was even blocking excell for some strange reason.
