Since RS seems to be completely useless in regulating computer assignments for Boinc Projects, i.e. On Rosetta, I have RS set to 1%, yet I get continuous downloading and running at "high priority". I wind up setting tasks to "suspend" or "abort" and setting many projects to "no new tasks" to control the flow of work. I have only one computer with 1 CPU and am connected to several projects; one of the unusual setups.

See, that is the issue, with RS set so low, this will force the tasks always into HP mode as they don't have the share to be executed normally ... or so the scheduler calculates.

I get the same situation with Task Switch Interval set to 12 hours on a number of projects ...

The only good news I can see is that the elaborations that are arising out of the contradictions inherent in the Resource Share concept may give rise eventually to its demise. Or to put it another way, trying to resolve the increasingly complex machinations required to have RS make sense may kill it ...
