Message 59563 - Posted: 15 Feb 2009, 17:13:31 UTC

I am continually getting the following message:

Sun 15 Feb 18:11:49 2009|rosetta@home|Scheduler request failed: HTTP gateway timeout.

I've checked the server status etc and no problems seem to be on that side. I've reset the project, detached and re-attached etc etc to no avail, any ideas ?

Server status says Disabled everywhere.

Hello Neil,

Did you check the homepage? There have been an outage lately.
My Boinc message:
15-2-2009 18:31:30|rosetta@home|Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server
(Boinc 5.10.45 date format: dd-m-yyyy time UTC +1 hour)

From the Server Status Page I'm currently reading 4 times: Not running.
At the time of posting all but one read Disabled.

Lets hope things will improve within a few hours.

Thanks :) Last time I checked servers in positions 3-6 and the last one were down but the rest were running. Impatience on my part maybe :)

A slight clarification -- you can upload files, but you can't *report* them. Those green status lights indicating disabled (they really should be red or orange like other BOINC projects when disabled or not running) mean that you can't report completed work.

The message on the home page is a bit misleading:

February 16, 2009
A fileserver/SAN hiccup caused the entire project to pause for a number of hours. Sorry for the outage. -KEL

**********

Not a big deal, but if it had said something like this:

A fileserver/SAN hiccup caused the entire project to pause for a number of hours. We are working toward correcting the problem. A number of the critical functions are still offline but we hope to have them corrected as soon as possible. Sorry for the ongoing outage. -KEL
********************************************

Then folks would have a more accurate idea of what is going on. Again, not that big a deal, I've got plenty of other projects that are reasonably happy at the moment.

I was able to upload and report work, but not able to download any work due to a 'lack of headers' and data.
