Is it possible to download more than the allotted WUs'? Like double? I'm a Pilot Car driver and my laptop is running Boinc/Rosetta as I go down the road (sometimes I actually use it for work. GPS routing etc). And it usually finishes before I get stopped for the day. And I don't always end up around and Internet connection Sometimes I get near a wi-fi hotspot and can connect long enough to to swap WUs' but that is not always an option. Thanks. . |

Is it possible to download more than the allotted WUs'? Like double? more than the allotted? as in more than what your currently getting? set up a long buffer ( total extra days of work), but make sure you can report all the work back in 10 days. the buffer can be set on your rosetta page or via boinc manager using advanced > preferences > network usage (buffer is located the general preferences area at the top right of this tab) hope this is what your looking for. |

Talamasca, the normal limit is 100 tasks per day. But then once you return some successful completions you are allotted more. So, you probably just need to set the network values higher as greg described. The settings for "connect about every..." and "additional work buffer" can be increased to bring down more tasks when an internet connection is available. Indeed, some set things to try and run for a week without a connection. If it's still unclear, let us know. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

I have plenty of WUs' to keep it going I can figure out how to adjust everything from here... just needed to be pointed in the right direction. I'm working on a presentation for my small- town community and I will be grilling the Guru's here. |
