My computer crashed and is in for repair. I feel I have to let somebody know about the lost work units that are still seemingly pending but are actually lost, so that they can be re-assigned or dealt with. If anyone knows what I should do, I would appreciate some advice pleeease! Thank you :) hedgehog |

The system is all built assuming that such things can and will happen. So, once the WUs pass their deadline, they are automatically reassigned. So, nothing (more then recovering your machine) to worry about. Be sure to get BOINC reinstalled :) ...and no, there's no way to request those WUs be resent back to you once you get back on your feet. And it's likely BOINC will assign you a new host ID when you attach again. You can merge the hosts together if that occurs. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Thank you! Don't worry; as I am hooked on Rosetta, BOINC will be re-installed shorlty after I get my hands on that computer again. E-addictions! What can one do? Best Regards, Hedgehog :) |

Thank you! Thanks for clearing this up. I'm new here and had a couple crashes :( and was wondering what the results would be on units... |
