After several installs/uninstalls of different versions of BOINC, it still can't connect to localhost.
The only version that can works is 5.8.16 and it takes a long time to connect to lockalhost, about 1-2 minutes.
Any help is welcome.

I would suggest you review your firewall settings to make sure that BOINC is allowed to start a local TCP connection (a connection within your machine to localhost).
