I have a machine that has been suspended for about 4 days now with the workunits being marked as suspended due to benchmarks.. Anyone know how to fix/avoid this? |

Benchmarks should only last 60 seconds. I would exit BOINC and reboot the machine. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Benchmarks should only last 60 seconds. Thanks for your nearly instantaneous reply. It was my natural impulse, but it's on a machine where the user is blissfully unaware of BOINC's presence, so I have to wait for the right moment to restart the machine... |

Benchmarks should only last 60 seconds. or you can just try restarting boinc if that's easier? if it's runing as a service do it through: Start > Run > services.msc > Stop service HTH Danny |

Benchmarks should only last 60 seconds. Even easier START -> Run (or in Xista just type it) sc stop boinc (to stop the service) sc start boinc (to start the service) Though if it's connected to an account manager (e.g. BAM), which is a good idea if you don't have direct access as you can alter setting like projects to join etc online. You could try giving it a kick from there, like another project or something. Best bet is to get access somehow or ask the person to do it. How do you know they are suspended due to benchmarks? Normally if you know that(remote connection to boinc) you can control boinc itself. Team mauisun.org |
