im realy not sure what im doing, im running seti and rosetta, usually for a about 12 hrs a day, my comp is an expensive deck of cards lol tried prefs but dont realy understand it, its working, am i realy contributing? or ir there a way of doing better? answers please

Yep, you're running fine. You can tell in several ways. First, you are earning credit (see that right here in your message board post). Second, you are reporting results without errors, you can see that if you open your BOINC Manager, go to the Advanced View, go to the Projects tab, select Rosetta, and then over on the left, click the "Your results" link. The third way is to display your profile, and all of your projects are shown at the bottom, both with credit and "average credit" which will increase over time as you report more results and bring up your average. If your average credit were zero it would mean you are either so new you've reported no complete work yet, or that you've not crunched anything for several weeks.

thank you for answering feel so much better, iv,ed looked at all the boards they do tend to go over my head ty again

Sherman, click the "Participants" link on top of the web page displaying this message board post. Then click the link for "other account info" near the top under "change".
