The United Nation, United Methodist Church, and NBA (that's right, the National Basketball Association) are teaming up for "Nothing But Net." Studies have shown that wearing a net (at night?) significantly reduces the chances that someone will contract malaria. The charity effort will buy nets for people to wear for $10/net.

It is good to know that efforts, both low-tech (w/nets) and high-tech (w/crunching) are being made to address malaria.
