According to Verizon wireless MATH is "a matter of opinion." Some of you may find this customer service call to Verizon funny yet oh-so-very painful! George Vaccaro, Verizon customer and blog owner, details the entire fiasco in his blog. Good Luck!

Verizon has apparently offered George a full refund. This would be great if in fact they understood what they did wrong--nothing in the email states this as true. The email the CSR sent to George was so convoluted no one really understands it. This was an attempt to shut him up but I, along with most of those watching (eagerly!), believe this won't work. The whole incident is really picking up speed and I believe the (big) media will pick this up tomorrow. Verizon Wireless is in for a world of hurt...

I took his blog and a reply and the csr email and put them in word and sent it over to the Seattle times and p.i. business editors as well as king5 and komo4 to have a look at. Don't know if it will go anywhere but it certainly is interesting.

Which CS did he talk to I wonder, Verizon Canada or Verizon US?

That CS letter sounds like a standard c.g. opening and then the rep had to put something in and probably couldm't come up with a good reply so just put a bunch of filler b.s. to take care of it.

I love the conversation though on the phone.... yes its .002 CENTS
damn! i would love that rate.
