I Did got the tasks for serval days about month ago, and the BOINC noticed me that the VBOX is required. So installed VBOX and Rosetta python client. Then tasks downloaded successfully, but only one task running at the same time. Sometimes I can got the tasks for Rosetta 4.20. and all CPU Cores are full loaded. But what the pity is this sort of tasks is very few. I have adjusted the VBOX and assigned 5 physical cores( 10 thread cores) to it. Doesn't worked. Still only one task running at the same time. How to fix it and make all the CPU cores full loaded Thanks. |

The two computers listed under your name have 16Gb of RAM. The Virtual Box version of the app is using about 6Gb of RAM for the virtual machine, one cpu. If you don't need Virtual Box for any other Boinc projects, you can uninstall it and run just regular Boinc projects fine. |

The VirtualBox tasks are set to reserve 8GB each at the moment. We are hoping that they arrive that back to more like 1GB each, which I believe they are looking at. In the meantime, you can probably run one task when your computer is in use, and possibly 2 when it is idle, depending on your BOINC settings. In my opinion they are worth running even if they are not ideal, because the work is very important and the field is moving very fast since Alphafold 2 came out and RosettaFold was created. They will need some time to optimise the tasks though. |

Is it mean that's normally which only one task running at the same time with VBOX version Rosetta? Few regular tasks downloaded. This situation last for a period of time. What is happing? |

I checked the RAM setting in the running VM and it was set at 6144Mb. (6Gb). There may be different sizes of VMs by the project. We really don't know what Rosetta@home has planned to fit inside the Python / VirtualBox tasks. They may have ran some VM images elsewhere and 6 - 8 Gb may have been needed. Added link to completed work unit showing RAM assigned to VM https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=1452114781 |

I checked the RAM setting in the running VM and it was set at 6144Mb. (6Gb). There may be different sizes of VMs by the project. I stopped the Boinc and reconfigured the Virtual box. Total 8192MB ram and 11 threads were assigned to it. But it was been set back to 6144 MB and 1 thread when the Boinc Started again. Seems the ram capacity and thread are fixed. Whatever, thanks for your kindly reply. |

Python old tasks use 7.5GB +/- of RAM Newer python like cages use just around 600+/- of RAM Your link points to a task that has been deleted from the system. |
