https://munin.kiska.pw/munin/Munin-Node/Munin-Node/results_ralph.htmlHalf of those in the last peak were me. I spent all afternoon adjusting buffers and pestering the server with 7 computers. Jumped from 267th to 7th place, wehey! And therein lies the problem...you forgot this is Boinc and not real life...Boinc is ALL about RAC. |

And therein lies the problem...you forgot this is Boinc and not real life...Boinc is ALL about RAC.Not for me. I'm both keen on the science, the playing with the hardware, and the credits. But I only care what my total credits are. What's the point in earning credits if they aren't counted in a few month's time? I watch my world position based on total credits in each project. |

And therein lies the problem...you forgot this is Boinc and not real life...Boinc is ALL about RAC. But as you've noticed credits aren't worth the data cost of sending them to you. If all you want is to be higher in the total credits stats you need some newer gpu's and to hop onto Collatz and crunch away. you will quickly move up in the World stats until you get to where people physically have more and better hardware than you do. Now if you want to crunch at other Projects as well you are going to have to start tracking your RAC and comparing yourself to others at the same Project instead of across multiple Projects. |

I care about the world position within each project, not the total for all projects. I doubt I'll ever get in the top ten, but I use the position to show I'm doing well, better than most. And it's handy to show me how much I've done for each project. The amount I've done in the last month is meaningless, it's what I've ever done that counts. And therein lies the problem...you forgot this is Boinc and not real life...Boinc is ALL about RAC. Anyway, my Ryzen is better than yours (especially as I've just ordered a 2nd 32GB chip to give it dual channel), and I'll be getting a top end Nvidia when I get that huge monitor for games. |

Then you need to look at Free-DC which can give you an easy to see what your stats are doing on an as often as the Projects update their stats stats site. I follow the right numbers, the total work ever done for each project by me.Then you need to look at Free-DC which can give you an easy to see what your stats are doing on an as often as the Projects update their stats stats site. Try here: |

https://munin.kiska.pw/munin/Munin-Node/Munin-Node/results_ralph.html And it's not a good news Rosetta is a complex, bundled up code. It makes a lot of different simulations, often there are problems with wus, validation, etc. A good debug is welcome, but seems that to the administrators is fine anyway.... :-( |

Try Albert@home (the test for Einstein). Hasn't had any tasks for years.https://munin.kiska.pw/munin/Munin-Node/Munin-Node/results_ralph.html |

Try Albert@home (the test for Einstein). Hasn't had any tasks for years. I know, i know. But Einstein's code is much more "consistent", homogeneous. If you see the rosetta code, it changes almost every day (even if R@H takes these changes very slowly). |

I'm not so sure about that, Einstein have changed quite a lot of stuff for their GPU apps. The gamma stuff runs much faster, and the gravity stuff needs more GPU RAM and won't run on older cards that are missing the new instruction sets. I can't run gravity at all on my 280X cards, and I can't remember why I don't run it on my RX 560. It's got more RAM and is newer. Something it didn't like about them.Try Albert@home (the test for Einstein). Hasn't had any tasks for years.I know, i know. I just wish Rosetta would tell us what they're working on. With WCG, I can see if it's cancer, African rainfall, immune system, or coronavirus. The apps have different names and you can choose which you prefer. |

I'm not so sure about that, Einstein have changed quite a lot of stuff for their GPU apps. (A lot of Einstein@home code is FFT maths). It's a while that i don't visit E@H site, but situation seems not so good A LOT of invalid, inconclusive, failed. I just wish Rosetta would tell us what they're working on. With WCG, I can see if it's cancer, African rainfall, immune system, or coronavirus. The apps have different names and you can choose which you prefer. It's an old request from volunteers |

(A lot of Einstein@home code is FFT maths). Most of that is the gravity tasks. They fail if your GPU doesn't have enough RAM, or if it has an outdated instruction set. I can't run it on an RX 560 or an R9 280X. I used to be able to, until they improved the code. Should be easy enough to implement, I wonder what they're hiding? We could be working on anything....I just wish Rosetta would tell us what they're working on. With WCG, I can see if it's cancer, African rainfall, immune system, or coronavirus. Stats are still "freezed" and also "user of the day" is still the same... |

Stats are still "freezed" and also "user of the day" is still the same...It's "frozen". You remind me of a kid at the school I worked at. She's say "I'm freezed!" and the smart arse teacher would quote the temperature off a thermometer and say it was above zero, so not freezing, so you're not having the heating on. |

You remind me of a kid at the school I worked at. I'm from Italy. English is not my first language. So, please, be patient with me. |

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude. And your English is better than most people around here in Scotland. Some of them have accents so strong I have no idea what they're saying. You remind me of a kid at the school I worked at. |
