Is that what's happened? I'd also like to understand, because my tablet has been largely inactive for the last couple weeks and I haven't changed my usage habits at all. I wondered if it was because some app got auto-updated and is now set by default to run in the background, telling BOINC to stay suspended. But I don't see anything new running. Since I can't figure it out, I'd like to think it's just that the server doesn't have any work. I'm glad to see I'm not alone on this issue. How do I know my tablet is inactive? By simply feeling it. If it's working on Rosetta it's always quite warm. It has felt dead cold for much of the last couple weeks or longer. |

Oh! Just checked the server status page and there are no Android tasks to send. I keep a backup project for this eventuality. I did wonder why I had so many WCGrid tasks in my queue. All explained now |

Can anyone explain why this happens? Thanks. There's a topic on this over in the Number Crunching forum - better to ask there. Not getting Android WUs From my pov, we're donating our computing resource for the project's purposes when they need it. We're not paying them and they owe us nothing, so if they don't need our help right now, that's fine. Usually they have had plenty of work over the last 4-5 months though, so this is a bit odd. While this is my primary crunching site, if you're keen to keep your device in use, like I am, you can set up another project for the times this one is quiet. I can recommend WCG for both the project and the availability of tasks, but feel free to check others out too. |
