A quick improvement would be to have a column on the "My Computers" page showing the "allow" or "skip" status for VirtualBox tasks. It would save having to click through loads of pages to work out which ones have been banned.

But they don't want it to be easy. Your computer is not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Just checking in because I had a fair few Rosetta 4.20 tasks come down.
But I think they already ran out...

I'm useful like that

Welcome to the button pressers club , sigh . . . .

Interesting point in that so many big crunchers have stopped crunching for rosetta that my xeon system is now 9th in `top computers`
that's about 60 top crunchers that had big RAC gone.
The python`s that ate rosetta

One of my computers, that with an AMD Ryzen 5, stil lhas Windows 10. Two others, one Intel and one AMD, have Windows 11. I use the Windows Defender as antivirus, updated almost daily. When I had another Virus defender some LHC projects wuld not run.

"Still has windows 10"? Maybe I need to leave the updates running to get more chance. I disabled those pesky things because a reboot every other day is beyond a joke. I just do a manual update every 3 months. The last time was a week or so ago, and all I got was the oldest machine saying "we're working on compatibility with this processor" and the 2nd oldest saying "this is not compatible". The decent machines didn't even get a mention.

On the Windows 10 CPU with 24 GB RAM I have installed a Linux Virtual Machine with SuSE Tumbleweed OS, a development version running only two projects, QuChemPedIA@home and Einstein@home.it has VirtualBox but no GPU since it cannot use the GTX 1060 of its host. It is updated very frequently and I have to reboot it every time. Its kernel is now 5.16.0.

Their heads are buried in the sand, they don't know there's fallout. I'm fed up of this, I'm off to do astrophysics.

What astrophysics?

Einstein@home and Albert@home both have problems with reconnecting if you lose your password for their servers and also lose access to the email account where email about recovering for lost passwords is sent. Just the authenticator is not enough to recover and connect a new computer.

Whwn I was a member in ScienceUnited I would get most tasks of Milkyway@home and Asteroids@home so I pulled out because I wanted to do some work in biology. But I am still partecipanting in Einstein@ome, both with CPUs and GPUs.

I use Universe, Milkyway, and Einstein. I've never forgotten my password. It's the same one as when Boinc was invented, and the one Geocities gave me, remember them? 1994-2009, RIP.

You managed to lose your password and the email address? Well that would mess up a lot of places.

Doesn't Science United let you select "Biology" as a choice? I thought you could choose a genre. Unfortunately I only have one GPU that will run Einstein. The 3 280X cards never complete the gravity, and I never seem to get given GPU gamma, despite them showing as running on server status. So I have one GPU on gravity, two phones on radio, and 9 CPUs on gamma.

I had selected also Biology but I still would get only Milkyway and Asteroid. I have two GPU boards running Einstein, a GTX 1060 with 3 GB RAM and a GTX 1650 with 4 GB RAM. My latest PC has a AMD Ryzen 4500U which has graphic capabilities, but it is slower compared to the two GTX boards. There was a period when Gravitational Waves GPU tasks required more than 3 GB RAM and I had to buy the GTX 1650 board.
